Pantera Press Acquires The Power of Two by Lisa Messenger and Sarah Megginson

Pantera Press is thrilled to announce the acquisition of ANZ rights for The Power Of Two by Lisa Messenger and Sarah Megginson via Lou Johnson at Key People Literary Management.

For the past year, the world has followed closely as Lisa and Sarah – co-authors, media powerhouses and best friends – candidly and generously shared the remarkable journey to starting Lisa’s family. After eight years of ‘trying’ – involving 16 rounds of IVF, 480 injections and endless heartbreak – Lisa accepted that she needed to take up Sarah’s incredible, selfless offer of surrogacy to support her dream of becoming a mother.

In The Power of Two, Lisa and Sarah will delve further into their profound journey – a journey that transcends pain and heartache to shine a light on what becomes possible when we embrace vulnerability and the power of community. This story may start with a beautiful friendship and the birth of a much-wanted baby boy – but this book is about more than the journey to parenthood.

The Power of Two will be a beacon of hope for anyone who has faced adversity, loss, grief and heartache. It will be a celebration of the tenacity we all possess, the power of giving – and the power in receiving. Publishing in November 2024, The Power of Two is ultimately about how one single connection can cause a boundless ripple, a wellspring of potential for lasting change well beyond what was once thought conceivable.

Publisher Lex Hirst said, ‘Lisa and Sarah are absolute powerhouses, and I could not be more excited to share their brilliantly inspiring story of resilience, hope and overcoming. The Power of Two is the book we all need to guide us on a mission towards community, connection and a stronger sense of collective fulfillment.’

Agent Lou Johnson said, ‘It’s an absolute joy to work with Lisa and Sarah to share this book and its inspiring message of the transformative power of friendship, resilience and community.’

Lisa Messenger said, ‘I could not be more excited to share our story of hope with you. From the depths of despair to holding our little boy in our arms is the greatest joy I could ever imagine. The twists and turns it took to get here and the ultimate selfless act by one of my best friends, is a journey that will give you unparalleled hope about the true power of possibility.’

Sarah Megginson said, ‘The arrival of little Hugo has brought so much joy, and is such a beautiful demonstration of the power of community, and how much we gain when we give. I find so much purpose in inspiring and enabling others to find their own way to contribute, however big or small – you don’t need to have a baby for someone else to make an impact! This truly has been such an incredible journey and we can’t wait to share it all.”

Lisa Messenger is the founder of Collective Hub and has authored and co-authored more than 40 books, selling more than 1 million copies. Sarah Megginson is an accomplished writer and editor, having edited more than 30 books and written for Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, and a range of property and finance titles.
